- Subj: Corrective Action Needed in the Forming Area
- ===============================================================================
-
- Our customer, the Metalization Module, has a list of items they have
- identified for corrective action by the Forming area. I will list the actions
- that we must take to meet their requirements.
-
- 1. We must ensure a consistent delivery of JB's to the Metalization
- Module. This means one 'D' lot per shift of approximately 1.1 million pieces
- from the Express Module and two 'H' lots per day. Any time a JB
- lot comes off Harper 5 or out of a cladan that lot has priority
- to get to the Metalization module. I never want to see a
- complete JB lot sitting in the furnace area.
-
- 2. The weight of the boxes of product we send to the Metalzation
- Module must not exceed 16 pounds. This equates to putting no more than 1 inch
- of ware in a box. To achieve this we will do the following:
-
- A. Put only 1 cladan per box of ware.
-
- B. Unload no more than 5 pusher tiles of ware per box off
- Harper 5.
-
- To check ourselves, no box sent to the Metalization module should contain more
- than 200,000 pieces and if it is over, we must split the lot into more boxes.
-
- 3. The computer for the '.1 JB Cont Line' has been modified to accept
- piece count. After you enter the number of cladans, clear the pieces column
- and enter the actual weighed piece count.
-
- 4. Fill out lot cards completely and correctly, all incorrect lot
- cards will be treated as a serious performance issue.
-
- 5. There will be PDC's issued over the next week dealing with angle
- cuts, and loading/unloading pallets. Read them and follow their procedures.
